If you have a tablet keyboard with 5 (pogo) pin and you want to use to another different tablet or like usb keyboard you are in the correct post.

Why

You do not want to waste or we want a better keybord than the particular tablet brand offer. For example the Mediacom WinPad 11.6 keyboard is very usefull because it is robust and give you two more usb.

Adapt to another tabled

As I say in Linux Mint 20 on Teclast X4 I adapt to this tablet the Mediacom WinPad 11.6 and before I dapt it to an old intel atom tablet.

My first solution Is that I use for my first tablet is to umount the official attac and add a new part created with a 3D pen in PLA. After I use the original magnet added to the component with the hot glue.

The second solution that I use with the Teclast X4 is to create the same compoent with wood and hot glue. In this case I also use some string in order to not force on wire when remove the tablet.

The third Idea that I do not try for now is to create one component in 3D and print with a 3D printer for example an Ender 3 or any similar (Thingiverse Project here). I think that a good material can be PETG or ABS if you are not interesting in green plastic. ABS is more resistent but it is more difficult to print because of worping.

Use as USB keyboard

More useless can be to transform it to a usb keyboard. I see the pin mapping here.

I use this micro usb adapter to use as usb with a micro usb cable, I add some pond in the back with a welder and I fix it with some strings.

Conclusion

I think that reuse this kind of keyboard is very usefull also in order to can chouse your favorint independent from brand!

Enjoy your experience!
